Did you notice the postmark on today’s missive? It’s true I traveled from under my strawberry duvet to the backyard for Labor Day. No, I’m not depressed. I’m just being strategic. A C-note saved is a C-note earned. And honestly, since i’m not actually trying to get my hair wet, what’s really the difference between my inflatable pool and the Gaylord? You guessed correctly: about $400 a night. I’ve got everything I need in Northeast - an open bar, room service (a la Uber Eats) and a podcast playlist full of gossip, history and art. My newest discovery- Our Ancestors Were Messy - Season 1, Eps. 4 & 5 recounts the contract dispute between Zora Neale Hurston and Langston Hughes - apparently, partnership agreements between friends were a necessity even back in 1927.
