Let it go: My God keeps the books

“The Lord is my Shepherd; He gives me everything I need."
That truth alone should calm my nerves right away. So why—tell me why—do I still find myself getting tight-jawed when people don’t treat me the way I expect?

You know the feeling. A family member “borrows” money with no intention of returning it. A friend calls yet again, needing help, even after you whisper, Darling, I’m stretched thin this month. And there I am, fuming, clutching my imaginary ledger as if the overflow of Heaven depends on somebody paying me back.

If God truly supplies all my needs, why am I so bothered when someone doesn’t return what I gave—or even acknowledge the sacrifice I made?

Here’s the gentle truth: God promised to take care of us—fully, completely, extravagantly. That is the only balance sheet that matters.

After all, Jesus said, “Love your enemies, do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great.” — Luke 6:35

We can give freely—our time, our resources, our love—because the real Rewarder sees every act of kindness and every quiet sacrifice. When we help others, we aren’t losing. We’re planting.

So as we gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, unclench your hands, darling. Release every old debt, every disappointment, every “you still owe me.”

Forgive. Let it go.

God is the great equalizer, the One who settles accounts far better than we ever could.

Aren’t we blessed to serve a God who takes care of His own? He won’t let you down. It’s a promise, darling. 💜

STAY IN GOD'S ORBIT

Feeling off-balance lately? Like you’re spinning between “I’ve got this” and “Lord, help me to hold out”? Me, too.

The best versions of ourselves are balanced when our physical and spiritual needs are perfectly aligned. But darling, true balance isn’t something we can create with planners, yoga, or green juice. Real balance only comes when we are close, daily close, to God.

When we drift from His presence, our lower appetites start to take over. Before we know it, we’re chasing every craving: beauty, approval, comfort, love, like they hold the key to happiness. But they don’t. They never will.

The only remedy? Stay in God’s orbit. He alone can regulate our hearts and minds so we can live in safety, peace, and abundance.

Happiness on earth is not about having everything. It’s about being in alignment with the One who holds everything. The world will try to tell you otherwise, that your joy depends on success, on romance, on “more.” But I am a witness. When you allow God to take control, you thrive.

It’s a promise, darling.

Scripture:
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.”
— Isaiah 26:3

Don’t give up. You already have everything you need.

GOOD & PLENTY

Would you operate differently if you had plenty?

If you won the lottery today, would you take better care of your home, your car, your health? Would you enter rooms with more confidence, greet others with more joy, or give more freely of your time and talents?

Here’s the truth, Darling: you don’t have to wait until you’re wealthy to do good. You are already rich — not only in spiritual inheritance, but in access to a God who meets every need.

Your Father is the Master of the Universe, and His resources are endless. Everything you could ever need—spiritual and material—already exists within His storehouse. When God provides, His gifts come wrapped in love, designed to perfect you, not corrupt you.

Psalm 84:11 reminds us:
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless.”

So walk with confidence. Move through life knowing that you belong wherever God sends you. You are His heir, and He delights in blessing you. There’s no need to steal, covet, or compete for what already has your name on it.

In the meantime, prepare for the victory that’s on its way. Show God that you can be trusted with greater blessings by caring for the gifts you already have—your body, your home, your relationships, and your community.

Remember, God’s abundance isn’t limited to heaven. It touches your everyday life in peace, purpose, and provision. Live like you already have enough—because through Christ, you do.

Philippians 4:19
“And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
God’s timing is perfect, darling. Keep the faith, keep the house clean, and keep your heart open.

Your plenty is on the way.
It’s a promise, darling.
