Have you ever stopped and wondered what real love actually is? Not the cinematic kind with perfect lighting and a last-minute apology. Not the personality-driven, moody, “I love you today but check back tomorrow” kind. I’m talking about the love God describes. The kind that is patient, kind, steady, generous, and completely free of ego.
If we’re honest, Darling, that description sets a bar so high only God Himself can reach it. Who among us can be patient all the time? Kind all the time? Unselfish all the time? None of us. Not without help. And that is the point. To truly love another person, to love past disappointment, past misunderstanding, past the sting of real or imagined hurt, you have to know God first. You have to understand His standard of love before you can even attempt to practice it. Human love fluctuates. Godly love endures. The only way to extend or receive pure, unwavering love is to believe in the One who gives it. God empowers us to love beyond our natural capacity. He strengthens what is weak in us. He fills in every gap. So today, strive to love the way God loves you, generously, patiently, consistently, without keeping score. You don’t have to be perfect, Darling. You just have to stay connected to the one that is. When you love like God, you rise above yourself. It’s a promise, darling. 💕. Remember God's unconditional love on Valentine's Day.
